Daily Inspiration – Frag.men.ta.tion

Frag.men.ta.tion is the innovative creation of Portuguese graphic designer Vitor Claro, and we were inspired to share it with you today.

Vitor combines a number of techniques to create these inspirational images, and it is interesting to see the thought processes that went into their creation. Having explored the meaning of the word fragmentation, Vitor implemented this into the design. By using unique fonts for each letter and arranging the composition of the images accordingly, Vitor was able to really embody the essence of fragmentation into his design.

If you loved Vitor Claro’s Frag.men.ta.tion project as much as we did head over to his online portfolio to check out some more of his graphic design work.

Daily Inspiration – Flight Tag Prints

Travel can provide valuable inspiration for art and design, which is why it is no surprise that London Based graphic designer Neil Stevens was compelled to create this project when he stumbled across some vintage airline baggage tags.

These flight tag prints date back to the 1950′s and Neil was inspired by the simplicity of the designs, the color blocks, and the way in which the three letter destination codes have become so iconic throughout time. Neil has taken what was once a purely functional baggage tag and blown it up to appear as a large scale poster, allowing us to fully appreciate it’s classicality  - a perfect idea for those who love travel memorabilia.
